Historical Background


Montaigut le Blanc is a middle-aged village situated
between Puys and Couzes. The term "couze",lower case, is a noun udes in the local patois to mean a mountain river going towards the lower plains. The Chambon is such a river and passes through Montaigut, which is it self clinging to the puys de Gourdon and the Rodde.

This picturesque village is built on a rocky spur called Mons Acutus. Thetempliers, the chiel of whom was Pierre de Montaigu in 1216, left their mark on the castle and 12th century roman church.

The house is located on a former priory, which was inhabited by monks themselves depended on that of sauxillanges . The place of the church has a commanding view of the valley.
Today the house is completely renovated, the hostess will welcome you in the middle of painting tables .

The house has two guest bedrooms , a lounge with TV wifi library, separate entrance , terrace and garden , microwave and refrigerator in your disposition.et an independent cottage furnished for 2-3 people, with private landscaped courtyard or a family suite with kitchenette Hydrangeas stay 3 connecting rooms for 5-6 people.

The cottages are located on the first floor. The one with bathroom and toilet , a bed for 2 people in 3 ears and the other bedroom with a bathroom and outdoor but private toilet , a bed for 2 persons and extra bed in 1 to 2 ears or 2 people in adjoining room . Optionally, the owner access kitchen to prepare dinner , minimum 3 nights to be booked in advance.

The garden near the church offers a beautiful view of the castle and the Puy de la Rodde . Tables and chairs are available as well as a barbecue facilities.Guests can take your picnic on the terrace and can be a chance to see or hear the couple kites . Can book a meal tray in the evening of arrival.
